WELCOME TO THE BLOG, where we share recent weddings & sessions, and bits of our life. We adore working with joyful couples in love, and can't wait to tell your story.
Back in August, we headed to NJ wedding venue, Ballyowen Golf Club to celebrate Elissa and Brendan with a stunning outdoor ceremony followed by a reception. This sweet couple had patiently awaited this day after having to postpone due to COVID-19. Their day finally came and it was full of beautiful flowers, an adorable pup, a little bit of ice cream, and lots of love.
Elissa and Brendan met almost five years ago. At that point in her life, Elissa said she was, “In a phase where I felt like that chick, who don’t need no man!” She was living young, wild, and free and completely loving it.
Her perspective quickly changed when Brendan asked her to go on their first date and she found herself feeling equally excited as anxious to get to know this man who had a brain as big as his biceps. Shortly later, Elissa was introducing Brendan to her girlfriends, planning their vacation to New England, and bringing home their puppy, Lillie. Brendan was the first person Elissa felt she could share all of her innermost feelings and deepest thoughts with, but he was also someone that would go grab froyo before dinner or play cornhole for hours in the backyard with her. They were in love and Elissa was 100% head over heels.
Brendan proposed over Labor Day weekend 2019 in Miami. Elissa says it was intimate and sincere and they could not wait to start planning their happily ever after. They set the date for August 29th, 2020. They hired their New Jersey wedding photographer, the wedding band, their florist, and Elissa said, “yes” to the dress. Then, BAM – COVID19… Life was uncertain and they had to be flexible. They moved their wedding date to August 7th, 2021 and had an additional year to go until they would say, “I Do.”
On August 7th, 2021 Elissa and Brendan’s wedding day was finally here and it was SO worth the wait. They were surrounded by all of their family and friends as they read their vows to each other, walked hand in hand with their dog, Lillie up the aisle, danced the night away with their fabulous band, and thanked their guests with an ice cream food truck as a sweet, end of the night treat as a wedding favor. They said their best day ever went by in a blink of an eye and they still get all the feels daydreaming about it months later and so do we whenever we look at their wedding photos!! 💗
The bride and groom spent the morning getting ready with their respective parties at Minerals Hotel, which is only 15 minutes from Ballyowen!
